Janet Wanja, Brackides Agala dropped from national volleyball team

Janet Wanja and Captain Brackides Agala have been dropped from the Kenya Women’s volleyball team in unclear circumstances.
Both Wanja and Agala have been vocal over the team’s welfare and are reported to have fallen out with the Kenya Volleyball Federation during the world grand prix in Australia over payment issues.
However, according to head coach Japheth Munala, only Agala was dropped while Wanja requested for some time off from the national team, claims that the veteran setter has strongly denied.
Munala says Wanja will miss out on the Olympics qualifiers but she might be part of the squad that will travel to Rio if they qualify. Agala has been replaced by Edith Wisa. The team will report to training on Monday and break camp on the 17th of this month.
