Kenya Airways renews sponsorship deal with 7s rugby team

Kenya Airways has renewed its contract with the Kenya Sevens Rugby team as the official shirt sponsor in a deal worth Ksh156 million. Only Ksh36 million from the pact will be used to take care of players' and technical bench salaries.

The new Kenya Airways deal will also cater for medical insurance for both the men's and women's Sevens teams as well as the Fifteens team while on international assignments.

The airline opted for shirt sponsorship only after making massive losses last year.

Kenya sevens players will now receive their contracts immediately they come back from Sydney IRB sevens.
