Nigerian and Arsenal legend Nwankwo Kanu on Tuesday morning April  5, visited Radio Africa Group offices on his East African media tour, where he met the company's triumphant football team following their StarTimes inter-media tournament glory over the weekend, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

During his visit, the StarTimes Global Goodwill Ambassador, presented the StarTimes trophy to Radio Africa Group's CEO, Patrick Quarcoo.

Kanu, 40, jetted into the country last Saturday on a five-day tour, before gracing the 7-aside-tournament which featured 16 teams made of sports journalists from the various media houses, with Radio Africa being crowned champions at the inaugural tourney.

Radio Africa team which saw off Goal.com 1-0 in the final match, was comprised of popular Radio Jambo presenters, Fred Arocho, Diblo Kaberia, sports analyst Anthony ‘Modo’ Kimani, Radio Jambo producer Gregory Mulemi, Radio Jambo online writer, Brian Ndung’u, Star writers Muigai Kiguru and Francis Wadegu, Brian Outa, Kevin Ndung’u, Liz Mahita and X -FM’s Jamil Alibhai.

The former Ajax Amsterdam, Inter Milan and Portsmouth forward was part of the Arsenal's famous Invincibles side that last won the English Premier League in 2003-2004.

Apart from winning the UEFA Champions League title with Ajax in 1995 among other trophies, he also skippered Nigeria to the 1996 Olympics glory beating powerhouse Brazil and won the African Footballer of the Year in 1996 and 1999.
