DREAMS DO COME TRUE: Collins Injera Appreciates Fans After Setting New Try Record
Fresh from breaking one and setting a new try record in the last concluded London sevens series, Kenya Sevens stalwart Collins Injera has penned a heartfelt message of appreciation to his family, team mates, friends and fans following his fete.
Collins Injera helped the Kenya Sevens Rugby team win Shied in the London Sevens after beating Russia 31-7 in the final picking three points to finish seventh overall in the IRB rankings with ninety eight points, with the 29-year-old becoming the leading all time try scorer in the IRB series with 235 tries.
The player was named 2016 Singapore sevens player of the final after guiding Kenya to their maiden Sevens World Series title, following a 30-7 win over Fiji.
In his message, the Mass communication degree holder owed it all to God's faithfulness and abundant blessings since he started out back in 2008.
He also sent a heartfelt message to his supportive family and friends, reserving a special mention to his former and current management for granting him the opportunity to proudly represent Kenya in the international stage, as well asĀ his team mates for walking the journey with him.
