Liverpool yesterday gave away a three nil lead to settle for a three all draw with Sevilla in the champions League.

The Reds looked to be cruising into the knockout stage for the first time since 2009 as two goals from Roberto Firmino and one from Sadio Mane put them in total control at the break.

However Sevilla fought back and earned three goals through Ben Yedder who scored a brace and Guido Pizzaro.

Elsewhere, Manchester City maintained their impressive run with a one nil win over Feyenoord, Real Madrid booked a place in the last sixteen with a six nil win over Apoel Nicosia while Tottenham beat Borussia Dortmund one nil.

Ronaldo became the first player in history to score 18 Champions League goals in a calendar year.
