In-form Kane Makes History, Burnley Holds Manchester United
by Brian Ndungu Michezo
Manchester United’s title hopes suffered another blow following a two all draw with Burnley on boxing day.
Jesse Lingard completed his double in stoppage time to save United a point after falling 2-0 in the first half.
The red devils are now 12 points behind Manchester City who have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Harry Kane beat Alan Shearer's record of 36 Premier League goals in a calendar year after his eighth hat trick of 2017 saw Tottenham beat Southampton 5-2.
Fourth placed Liverpool also produced a five star performance as they hammered bottom side Swansea 5-0 with Roberto Firmino grabbing a brace, while Chelsea retained third spot with a 2-0 win over Brighton.
