Harambee Stars will be without defender Brian Mandela for the African Cup of Nations after picking up a nasty knee injury in training on Monday.

Midfielder Christopher Mbamba,Sweeden based ,are apart of the list of four players dropped from the Harambee Stars squad set to do duty at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

He is reported to be struggling with an unspecified injury.

Another  released from the national football team’s camp which is currently camping in the French capital Paris is Clifton.

South African based defender Mandela has also been released due to a knee injury.

The third player is yet to be announced.

Stars are set to head to Madrid on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s final international friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo on Saturday.
