MARAGUA: 1400 Students To Receive Bursaries

1,400 students in Maragua constituency will receive KES 6.8 million bursaries.

The area MP Peter Kamande handed over the cheque to the Bursary Allocation Committee yesterday at his Maragua CDF office.

This is the first phase of bursary allocatio with the second one slotted for next month to benefit Form ones.

Kamande welcomed the government's KES 13,000 increase to the money allocated to each secondary school student.

"This will ensure children go to school regardless of one's economical and social status. Education is the equaliser for all," he said.
