He is social, a music lover, enjoys politics and above all a sports enthusiast but how well do you think you know Bramwell Mwololo?

The Radio Jambo mid-morning show presenter who goes by the title 'Sir' refers to his life as an open book, something which he owes a lot to his loyal listeners. but do you think you really know Sir Bram?

Radio Jambo: Who is Bramwell Mwololo?

Bramwel: Bramwell Mwololo is a presenter, a sportsman and a man of faith, am a staunch believer and a proud Christian. I come from a big family consisting of two elder brothers and three elder sisters.

RJ: where did you grow up and how do you describe your childhood?

Bram:  Sometimes I see myself as a nomad. I've been all over since I was born because I grew up in Kolanya, Western Kenya, Teso land and also Nairobi. Growing up in a large family, it was tough as a child where I had to do everything to fit in you know with all that 'competition' from my brothers and sisters in the house.

RJ:  We understand you are one of the most celebrated sportsmen in the nation how exactly did you venture into sports?

Bram: It's interesting because many don't know that my father was a professional soccer player while my mum was a sprinter! And as the old age goes; The apple doesn't fall far from a tree so at least you can now understand where I got the good genes from. Another thing for sure is my dad used to encourage us, always pushing us towards our dreams and that is how I found myself in sports, of course having come from a 'sporty' family.

RJ: It's interesting that you played both Rugby and football, how did you juggle between the two totally different disciplines?

Bram: I know how weird that sounds, and believe you me not many buy the fact that I played professional football and professional rugby as well. I owe all the success to discipline, hard work and total commitment which was never a tough thing for me considering my romantic affair with sports from a tender age.

RJ: Do you have that memorable moment which you would never trade for anything as a sportsman?

Bram: I treasure loads of special moments some which I achieved as a rugby player and some as a footballer. To begin with, I remember helping Barclays Bank F.C climb back into the premier league. Having scored 8 goals out of 13 in my team was enough to propel my team out of the mini league.

Second treasured moment should be when I scored my first try in my debut game in the England Rugby League as well as helping Altihad rugby team climb from the last position to finishing third in the Oman rugby league.

RJ: Many might think your job as a presenter takes less compared to other disciplines in journalism, how do you prepare for your shows?

Bram: The notion has been there for quite a while since people think that all it takes is a pleasant voice and a microphone but in order to be ready for my shows, I engage myself in a lot of reading and research. I make myself familiar with the trending issues, listen a lot since for one to have enough content one has to be a good listener and also I make sure I visit places where I’ll get to interact with the wananchi and its from all that where I generate content for my shows.

RJ: As a presenter what are your strengths?

Bram: That's a tricky question but all I know is; I love people, am relevant and some credit my sense of humour.

RJ: Your straight talk show has once again topped the charts, what does this achievement to you?

Bram: It's easy God has been good to me and it's always humbling above all, I pledge to continue staying true to the show and the loyal listeners.

RJ: You always seem to gel well with politicians from all political divides, do you see yourself diving into the political world in future?

Bram: Well you can never say never, but maybe when my Alliance for Real Change (ARC)'s presidential candidate, Mohammed Abduba Dida wins the presidential race that is when I will consider joining politics.

RJ: Describe your typical weekend

Bram:  Am always at work from 7AM to 10AM on Saturdays after which I join my friends and family for the afternoon, and since am a known Arsenal die hard fan, you can be sure I would never leave my screen for anything. Sundays are rest days for me.

RJ: What are the five interesting/weird things that your fans don't know about you?

Bram: (i) Maybe I forgot to mention in the beginning that am a pastor's kid, both my parents are church ministers. I guess no one saw that coming!

(ii) This is interesting: How many actually do know I was if not the only player in Kenya to play both professional rugby and professional football? Well I can bet just a handful.

(iii) I love German made cars in fact am addicted. Currently am driving a Golf GTI.

(iv) I have lived in more that three continents (Europe, Africa and Middle East) as well as travelling to more than 15 countries including South Africa, England and Mauritius. I am blessed.

(v) I love food and as a result I enjoy cooking. Chicken and Mashed potatoes is my all time favourite meal. Swafeee!
