The Maa community mourns the late Ole Ntimama

Leaders from the Samburu Maa community have joined the rest of the country in mourning the former Cabinet Minister William Ole Ntimama who passed on on Friday morning.

Sombre mood engulfed Maralal as most of the leaders joined hands to celebrate the life of Ntimama who was termed as a hero and a determined leader who fought hard for the rights of his people and Kenya as a whole.

Addressing the press in Maralal town on Friday morning, the leaders led by Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal said the late Ntimama was a fearless and selfless figure that stood for the wellness of the nation and the Maasai community.

"As Samburu residents, we want to offer our condolences to the people of Narok, for the loss of our great hero who was a very good proponent of the Maa community where we also belong." Governor Lenolkulal said, adding that his community benefitted much from his efforts and their own recognition.

The county boss also noted that the Rights of land ownership and those of the pastoralist communities have been put into consideration because of his efforts.

He was joined by various members of the Samburu County Assembly, MCA Ndoto Ward Raisi Lentura who is also the chair Jubilee Caucus Samburu County among others.
