Kenyan music sensation, Nyamari Ongegu popularly known as Nyashinski has revealed that his 'Malaika' hit song was fully inspired by the love shared between his parents.
Speaking to Radio Jambo's Annita Raey last Friday on the Sema na Annita Raey mid morning show, Nyashinski who is fresh from releasing another banger dubbed 'Hayawani', said that his parents have been in love for over 40-years now and their love and romance were the sole reason behind the romantic song.
The song which was one of the songs Nyashinski released as he made his comeback into the Kenyan music scene after a long hiatus, has so far amassed over 3 million views on Youtube and continues to be one of the most adored songs in East Africa.
"My parents have been together for over 40 years and what I see in them every single day is what triggered the idea of composing the 'Maliaka' song." He said.
