Apart from politics which got us occupied for at least half of the year, Kenya has seen a flurry of events that saw international superstars visit this beautiful country. Some came for business while some came in search of pleasure.

Jamaican songstress Cecile was in the country for the second time early this month, this time she headlined the Dohty family 13th-year-anniversary celebration which took place at the Carnivore Simba Saloon.
Damien Marley
Jamaican reggae star Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley was among the first international celebrities who toured the country. The legendary star jetted into the country back in June where he stunned revelers with one of the most electric performances of the year at the Carnivore Grounds.
Glen Washington
Reggae musician, Glenn Washington was in the country for a classic reggae show which will take place on Monday 11th December, 2017.
Ty Dollar Sign
American singer Ty Dolla Sign and South Africa's Nasty C were in the country early December, where they brought Nairobi to a standstill at this year's Jameson Connects held at the Uhuru Gardens.
Thierry Henry
Legendary Arsenal striker Thierry Henry was among a doen of celebrities who graced Kenya in the month of December.
The former Arsenal and Barcelona forward met and greeted hundreds of football fans from across the country at the Impala grounds where he enjoyed the live streaming of Arsenal vs Newcastle match which his former side won 1-0, courtesy of Mesut Ozil’s brilliant volley.

Back in June, RnB star Jason Derulo jetted into the country for the recording of the 5th season of Coke Studio Africa.

American pop superstar Rita Ora was in the country in November at the Masai Mara where she was celebrating her birthday.

Jack Ma
In July, Kenya had the privilege of hosting the sensational Chinese billionaire, Jack Ma.
According to Forbes, Jack is worth an estimated $29 billion and this includes his 7.8% stake in the Alibaba Group — China's answer to Amazon — and close to 50% stake in the payment-processing service, Alipay.
