This is the tweet Julie Gichuru deleted about a Kenyan Spy

Julie Gichuru has deleted a tweet explaining her relationship with feared NIS boss and spy, Deputy Director Noordin Mohamed Haji.

This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta picked Noordin Haji to replace Keriako Tobiko as the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The DPP selection panel shortlisted three applicants, including Lucy Kambuni and Jacob Nyakundi.

Noordin is the son of Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji.

He has had a career spanning many years at the National Intelligence Service as its deputy director.

If vetted and approved by the National Assembly, he will take charge of the office of the DPP previously held by Tobiko, who was appointed Environment CS.

Julie Gichuru tweeted, "Congratulations to my University of Wales College of Cardiff law school classmate Noordin Haji on his appointment to Director of Public Prosecutions! Wishing you all the best as you serve the nation in this capacity," she stated.

However, Julie quietly pulled down the tweet shortly after it was posted.

Noordin will prosecute those charged by the police and other investigative agencies with criminal offences while upholding, protecting and promoting human and constitutional rights.

He was first brought into the limelight when he was covered on journalist now-turned politician Mohamed Ali's TV segment Jicho Pevu programme.

His younger brother, Abdul Haji, gained international heroic status after he was captured on camera saving numerous of civilians while in the process of rescuing his brother who will now occupy the powerful office of DPP
