Former presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot and Tiaty MP Williams Kamket have exchanged bitter words on twitter following killings in Kapedo.
Two police reservists were shot dead, while one sustained injuries after suspected Pokot bandits attacked the Kapedo Catholic church on Sunday.
Bishop Dominic Kimengich of Catholic Diocese of Lodwar said the police reservists had been hired to provide security during a mass at the church and unfortunately they were killed on duty.
"The church hired four police reservists to provide them with security. Two were killed while one sustained injuries."he addressed Journalists on Monday at Lodwar.
On 5th of May three students and one driver were headed to school from Marigat to Kapedo through Ameyan route, were ambushed by the suspected pokot bandits and shot dead.
The Turkana County commissioner Seiff Matata has urged Leaders to stop exchanging bitter words on Social Media
"When Leaders exchange such bitter words, it results to incitement of both Pokot and Turkana communities."
He said Leaders should come out and arrest the situation for betterment of the communities.
Aukot via his twitter handle accused Kamket for being behind the kapedo killings. Later kamket responded.
