Posh estates which you should know in and around Nairobi

There are certain areas in Nairobi which you wouldn't be surprised finding some of the most prominent and wealthy Kenyans living there.

Billionaires, multi millionaires and tycoons love staying in such areas since its surrounding or rather environment is what the high and mighty in society love, not forgetting the humongous mansions that are also located in these areas.

1.Kitisuru

It is located past Westlands and is also home to the most expensive school in Kenya the International School of Kenya (ISK ).

Many residents around here either have kids in the ISK or in Peponi school and Rosslyn Academy. If you want to stay in this area be ready to cough up chunks of money to up to 100 million plus.

But one thing for sure the environment and its atmosphere is outstanding.

2.Karen

The opulent neighborhood was once a coffee plantation owned by a Danish author Karen Blixen-Finecke.

Most of the houses here are bungalows and villas but over the years wealthy members of the society have changed its look as more houses have been built as well as the old colonial houses still being present, the only difference is that they have been refurbished.

It is one of the largest gated community in Kenya with so many millionaires having their homes here. It has tight security for 24 hours and its guarded on each entrance on Limuru road, Kiambu road and UN Avenue and the access to Mumwe.

It is the home of many diplomatic organizations as different embassies also are located there starting with the United States Embassy.

Wealthy individuals in the nation have also loved Muthaiga. It is home to various embassies. It has top notch security and its tended grounds and estates are similar to that of the English countryside.

Houses here range to over 60 million and as stated before wealthy members of the society are the ones who can afford buying or owning property here,the average person wouldn't.

6. Lavington

It is home to some high end mansions and also some elite schools. Its mansions don't cost less than 50 million and it's no shock when you find a huge number of  wealthy people owning property there.
