KAYOLE: Two suspected thugs gunned down, pistol found on them

Two more suspected thugs were last evening shot dead in a botched robbery in Kayole, Nairobi and a pistol found on them.

The suspects were said to have been terrorizing locals demanding cash and other valuables in Tushauriane area when police were alerted. The officers managed to kill two while two others escaped on foot.

Police had Tuesday killed two other suspects in the same area in the war on crime and recovered a pistol. The men were linked to the shooting and injuring of a police officer last month in the area.

The bodies were moved to the mortuary.

Meanwhile, president Kenyatta arrived in the country last night after spending five days in China during which he attended business exhibitions.

The president’s plane touched down at JKIA at about 11 pm. The president is today expected to preside over this year’s KDF pass out parade in Eldoret.

More than 2,000 soldiers are expected to graduate from Moi Baracks today. Security has been tightened in Eldoret ahead of the president’s arrival.
