Sonko also assured the traders that the market will be built afresh as he put land grabbers in Nairobi on notice.
The city boss called for national unity, as he asked politicians to shun away from bad politics and urged them to focus on service delivery.
Earlier on, former prime minister, Raila Odinga blamed land grabbers for the inferno that razed parts of Toi Market.
“This is not the first time Toi is being razed. This was well planned," Raila said at the market.
