Kiongozi wa taifa Uhuru Kenyatta hii leo ametuma risala za rambirambi kwa ndugu, jamaa, na marafiki wa mama Loise Wamaitha Kibuka ambaye alifariki Jumapili katika hospitali ya Nairobi.
Mwendazake Loise Wamaitha Kibuka wa miaka 98 ni mamaye mzazi mwanzilishi wa hospitali ya Kareni Dr Dan Kibuka Gikonyo.
Katika ujumbe wake rais amemtaja Wamaitha kama mtu mwaminifu na nguzo muhimu kwa famnilia yake na aliyependa kuinua watu wengine kwa jamii.
“Mama Wamaitha was a known and highly respected community leader and a wise counselor who was a source of encouragement and inspiration to many.
“She was a loving woman of God who highly cherished education as the foundation of success as can be seen through her children,” rais alituma ujumbe huo.
Rais Kenyatta amesema Wamaitha atakumbukwa sana kwa kupigania haki za wanawake na hata kuanzisha vuguvugu la Maendeleo ya Wanaewake mwaka 1950 ambapo yeye na wengine walipigania umoja na usawa miongoni mwa wakenya.
“Her service to the country as a leader of Maendeleo ya Wanawake in Nyeri before our independence will be remembered for generations to come. We will also never forget her role in the growth of the Presbyterian Church both as an elder and a prominent member of the Womens Guild,”amesema Rais.
Rais aidha ameihakikishia familia ya mwendazake kuwa serikali yake itakuwa nao wakati huu mgumu.
