SPAGHETTI KING: Wanyama's Tweet Makes Him Club's Face Of 'World Pasta Day'

Tuesday marked ‘World Pasta Day’, and Tottenham as widely expected picked Harambee Stars Victor Wanyama to front their social media messaging.

Back in 2012, the Kenyan midfielder posted a message on social media which went viral.

Wanyama wrote: “I had spaghetti and it was very nice i enjoyed it”.

That tweet has since gone down in folklore, and it was revived on Tuesday.

Spurs rolled out their midfielder on social media, with Wanyama posing for the camera holding spaghetti.

Wanyama moved to White Hart Lane in the summer from Southampton when he agreed a five-year deal with Spurs.

The transfer saw Wanyama reunite with former boss Mauricio Pochettino, after the pair worked together at St Mary’s.

Wanyama has played every league game for Tottenham so far this season, while he’s opened his Spurs account with a winner against Crystal Palace.
