Sad! Popular Kenyan Rugby Player Passes Away

The Kenyan Rugby fraternity is mourning the passing on of a young talented Nondescript RFC player Ogeto Gecheo. Ogeto sustained a spinal injury over the weekend while playing for Nondies in the Kenya cup match against Strathmore over the weekend in the Kenya Cup.

He underwent successful surgery over the weekend and had plates affixed on his vertebral column. He however sadly passed away this morning at the Aga Khan Hospital. Born in1996, Ogeto captained Maseno school to last year's East Africa school games where they lost to Laiser Hill in the Rugby final. He later joined Impala RFC before moving to Nondies this season.

Friends and fans of the wonderful sport took to social media to condole with the family of the late. From top sports journalists to fans and friends of the late, they described Ogeto as a hard working, humble and determined young player.
