Kenyan Swimmer Rebecca Kamau Secures Swimming Scholarship In USA

Kenyan Swimmer Rebecca Kamau has secured a swimming scholarship with Northwestern University of the United States. Rebecca who is based in Birmingham UK will start the programme in September and will be with the University until 2021.

Kamau visited the University two weeks ago where she assessed their swimming facilities before accepting the offer. She says she will use the platform to prepare for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo Japan after missing out on Rio in unclear circumstances.

She is the second Kenya swimmer to secure a scholarship with a US based university in less than three months after Mombasa based Emily Muteti secured a scholarship with Grand Canyon University.
