Glorious Florence Kiplagat Achieves Fourth Straight Barcelona Half Marathon Win

Florence Kiplagat yesterday won her fourth consecutive Barcelona half marathon title in a time of one hour and eight minutes.

Kiplagat's time was over three minutes off Peres Jipchirchir's recently set world record of 1:05:06 in Al Khaimah.

Kiplagat was using the race as part of her preparation for this year’s London Marathon set for April. Ethiopia’s Kuma Dibaba finished second while Jessica Augusto from Portugal was third.

In the men’s category Leonard Langat led Kenyans to a 1, 2, 3, 4 finish with Meshak Koech finishing second Joel Kimurer finished in third place while former world champion Abel was in fourth place.
