Vancouver Sevens: Shujaa To Play Scotland In Challenge Trophy Quarter Finals Tonight, After finishing Third In Pool A

Shujaa started their Vancouver Sevens campaign on a losing note, falling to a 14-28 Pool A loss to England on Saturday evening. It was Shujaa who took the lead, absorbing the early English pressure before Eden Agero played in Willy Ambaka to score under the posts, Agero sure with the extras for a 7-0 lead.

An English response was swift and it came through Phil Burgess’ converted try that leveled the score  to see the teams all square, 7-7 at the break. Sammy Oliech pounced on the loose the ball from the blind, racing clear to touch down, Agero converting for a 14-7 lead after the restart.

England were awarded a penalty try before Dan Norton land a converted try to see his side go 21-14 up. Tom Mitchell’s conversion off Dan Bibby’s try confirmed the result for England. Kenya play South Africa in their next pool match at 1.56am.
