Barcelona Legend, Gerard Pique Reveals How He Met Pop star Wife Shakira

If you have no idea who Shakira and Gerard Pique are, then you literally need some heavy lashes.

The two are a power couple which consists of Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, a Lebanese Colombian singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer known for songs like; 'Hips don't lie' and 'Waka Waka' and Gerard Pique, Barcelona's legendary defender.

Here's an interesting bit about the couple; The two were born on the same date, same month, exactly 10 years apar. Shakira was born on 2nd February 1977, while Pique was born on 2nd February 1987.

However, how many of you know how these two met? Here's a spoiler, during the shooting of Waka Waka video during the 2010 world cup.

According to Daily Mail, Spanish defende,r Pique met the singer when he was still in a relationship with one Tomas, his ex when he appeared in her music video Waka Waka, the official song of the 2010 World Cup.

He told TV3 in October: 'I met Shakira in Madrid, when we were preparing for the 2010 World Cup, and after appearing in the Waka Waka video.

'It all started when we were together in South Africa and I wrote to her. She was already there because she sang in the opening ceremony and I asked her what the weather was like.

'It is the typical stupid question, and the normal answer is to tell me to bring a jacket.

'But she started telling me what the weather was like in every single moment and it got to the point where I told her we would have to get to the World Cup final to see her again - she was singing at the final.'
