He has captivated Europe for over a decade and now appears set for the Premier League, the one place he is yet to conquer.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been identified as Jose Mourinho's first possible signing once he has officially taken the reins at Old Trafford, with the duo set to link up again after previously joining forces at Inter Milan.
The Swede is identifiable through so many traits: the elegance, the flamboyance, the overconfidence, the aggression - and that sometimes can all be before he has set foot on the pitch.
FAMILY AND FRIENDS
Ibrahimovic met his wife, Swedish model Helena Seger who is 11 years old, in 2002 and they have two children together, Max and Vincent.
His sons came on the pitch to greet their father as he was substituted during his final league appearance for PSG this season.
WEALTH
In 2015, Forbes ranked Ibrahimovic's total career earnings at $39.1million (£26.5m). That includes $6m (££4.1m) from endorsements alone.
But that number would only have swollen in size now Ibrahimovic has seen out the remainder of his six-figure PSG deal.
Furthermore, any potential deal with United is set to be worth at least £200,000-a-week plus bonuses.
SPONSORS
The striker's main sponsorship deal is with Nike, which French newspaper Parisien reported to be €2.5m-a-year (£1.9m) over four years when he signed his latest agreement with the sportswear giant in 2015.
He has also worked with Swedish car company Volvo, starring in an advert lasting over two minutes in 2015, as well as having a deal to promote vitamin water.
Recently, Ibrahimovic launched his own brand of perfume and aftershave, unveiling his 'Supreme' range to fans via his Instagram account.
HOUSES AND CARS
Ibrahimovic has been living in Paris for the last four years but also has a family home in the Swedish city of Malmo, where he was born.
The 34-year-old, who is fluent in Swedish, English, Bosnian, Italian and Spanish, is also believed to own property in Stockholm, Miami and New York and could soon be adding another in England to his portfolio.
Ibrahimovic also has an eye for a fast car. Over the years, he has been pictured with a Ferrari Enzo, Lamborghini Gallardo, Mesarati Grand Tourismo and an Audi S8.
The price of those four alone reaches £2.35million.
HOBBIES
Ibrahimovic is a man of the outdoors and when he isn't on the pitch, his pastimes include fishing and hiking.
He has also made a number of charitable gestures in his career.
He paid £35,000 for the Swedish team for the intellectually disabled to be able to compete in Brazil in 2012 and once, after scoring for PSG in 2015, he removed his shirt to reveal the names of 50 people suffering from hunger artificiality tattooed on his torso, raising awareness of the World Food Programme of the United Nations.
Ibrahimovic also lists Muhammad Ali and Ronaldo as his two sporting heroes but is perhaps best known for being his own biggest fan.
