Muhoroni youth are the new KPL top 8 champions .

Wasteful Gor Mahia relinquished their KPL top 8 title after they were beaten 1-0 by Muhoroni youth in an eventful final played at Nyayo National Stadium Sunday afternoon.

Midfielder Kennedy Rono dispatched the all important goal past Jerim Onyango after a lapse in concentration from defender Haron Shakava.

The match was stopped for several minutes after disgruntled fans breached the pitch.

Their ire was not misplaced as Gor who came into the match as overwhelming favorites to become the first team to win the tournament back to back, failed to make their numerous numbers opportunities count.

When referee Anthony Ogwayo blew the whistle to indicate the contest had ended, fans once again descended on the pitch as players and match officials scampered for safety of the dressing room with even the formality of handing over the trophy having to be set aside.
