Kenyan-born winger, Bruce Kamau on Sunday made history as he helped his Australian side Adelaide United win the A-League title for the first time in the club's history, ending a 13-year wait following a grand final win over rivals Western Sydney.

Bruce Kamau opened the scoring for the Reds en route to a 3-1 win, when the talented forward showed great technique to read the bounce of the ball and clip home with his non-preferred left-foot, sending the home fans into delirium. reports.

Kamau was not done, with the 21-year old Kenyan-Australian having a hand in the second goal when he was fouled at the edge of the box with midfielder Isaias scoring an inch perfect goal from the resulting free kick.

Leicester City's story is regarded as one of the best fairy tales in sporting history but according to , Bruce Kamau completed a soccer fairytale on Sunday, which was born on the dusty streets of Nairobi.

"It’s unreal, you can’t really put it into words,” Kamau, 21, said.

“I started playing football when I came to Australia for fun but when I realised I could take it somewhere I started taking it a bit more serious.

“But you never really think you’re going to be on this stage in the grand final. In front of 50,000 people to get the win and for myself to score, it’s an unreal feeling.”

Kamau moved to Australia with his family in 1999 and began a soccer education that took in Eastern United, Campbelltown City, Adelaide City and Adelaide Olympic.

The youngster soon caught the eye of the Reds and has seldom looked back since making his A-League debut against Brisbane in 2014.

Kamau played an integral role as Adelaide went from potential wooden spooner to champion.

The speedster made the right wing spot his own and scored his first senior goal in the 1-0 defeat of Melbourne Victory in February.

“The boss gave me more responsibility in starting in games and I’ve tried to pay him back,” the former Rostrevor College student said.

“I think I have and now I just want to continue that.”

Congratulations Mr. Bruce Kamau!.

With Kenya already boasting of the likes of retired forward Dennis Oliech, Harambee and Southampton midfielder, Victor Mugubi Wanyama, his brother McDonald Mariga among other players flying the Kenyan flag high on the international scene, is the country's football future destined for a refreshing fairytale with Kamau on the folds or will the youngster end up being another Divock Origi case?.
