Even though after independence many African countries decided to chase away the colonialists, some nations actually welcomed them and gave them a second home.

Countries like South Africa embraced them and lived in peace with them.

1. South Africa

It is estimated that South Africa has over 5 million white people living there. This might be a result of the embrace the whites got when Nelson Mandela got into power and how they were allowed to settle there.

2.Angola

Angola has a total of over 350,000 white people staying there. The Portuguese make the most population in the total number of white people there. Which might be because it was a colony of Portugal.

3.Namibia

Namibia even though some parts of it might be desert, white settlers loved its parts that had rich fertile soil making it a hub for agriculture.

It has a white population of over 190 000.

4.Madagascar

The white population in Madagascar is mostly comprised of the French. This was after many of them went to settle there after the 19th century.

There are over 120 000 white people living there.

5.Morocco

The white Moroccans are descendants of the thousands of French, Spanish and European Christians who came to settle in the country.

This led to an increase of the white population making there be over 100 000 whites.

6.Mozambique

The white population in Mozambique is mostly compromised of the Portuguese who decided to settle there.

There over 80 000 whites who are in Mozambique.

7.Kenya 

Kenya also became a hub for white settlers. Many who are still around are descendants of the white settlers who settled in Kenya many years ago while others came years after to settle.

There are over 67 000 whites who stay in Kenya.
