A man died in his sleep at Simmers Restaurant on Koinange street, Nairobi on Tuesday evening.
Waiters became suspicious when Samuel Macharia remained still for a while.
Managers who sought anonymity said Macharia arrived at around 5pm and did not take any alcohol.
They said he only smoked at the designated area.
"At around 8.30pm, waiters discovered that the man was not waking up after sleeping for some time, then we decided to call Central police," one of them said.
Macharia's body was taken to City Mortuary.
The cause of death has not yet been established.
