The 2015 edition of the First Lady's half marathon has received KES 160 million sponsorship for the Beyond Zero Campaign, the event's organisers have said.

Various organisations and individuals presented their cheques to the First Lady's Office at State House with Bank Of Africa giving KES 12 million on Friday for a mobile clinic.

Roy Kiruri, a Kenyan student based in South Africa, collected KES 500 000 through an individual initiative that saw him raise funds for every kilometre he swam at the recently concluded 1 600 m Midmar Mile open-water event in South Africa.

The March 8 event aims at collecting KES 600 million to buy 27 mobile clinics.
