Former Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu has slammed Kiambu Governor William Kabogo for smearing his campaign for the Kabete Parliamentary seat.
Kabogo was on Friday quoted saying Kabete people were wrong to nominate Waititu for the May 4 by-election.
Waititu was nominated by the Jubilee Alliance Party to replace the former area MP George Muchai who was murdered on February 7 together with his two bodyguards and driver.
“Kabogo has no right to dictate to you whom you should have nominated since he was also voted in by you people. Kabete votes are not his and the people will decide for themselves who becomes their MP,” he said.
Waititu was speaking on Sunday in Kibichiko during the homecoming of Kikuyu gospel artiste Loise Kim.
