The gang of four forced their way into the house after breaking the main entrance into the apartments near Karura forest. Police say the gang stole a number of household goods before raping one of the women who were there.
They later escaped in a waiting car and no arrest has been made so far. The area has been attacked three times in the last months and no arrest has been made.
Meanwhile, a middle aged woman was shot dead by a gang in an attack at an Mpesa shop in Embakasi area, Nairobi.
The woman is said to have resisted and defied orders by the gang to surrender the day’s collection when she was shot in the chest. Police say the gang escaped after grabbing unknown amount of money from the shop and no arrest has been made.
The body was moved to the mortuary.
