The multi award-winning presenter had a smooth sail with her yacht coming out unscathed against seasoned presenters like; Tina Ogal-Radio Citizen, Lynda Oriaso-Radio Maisha, Cynthia Anyango-KBC Radio Taifa and Milele FM's Nzula Makosi.
This is her second award after scooping best presenter award in the Coast a few years ago.
The awards' main objective is to celebrate Radio excellence in Kenya by awarding individuals who entertain and inform us every day and night, something which Mrs. Japanni does with ease thanks to her bubbly and witty nature and her vibrancy, which sums up a complete award winning package and to top it all with a sprinkle of passion is what clearly separates her from the pack. Simply untouchable.
Japanni, who was not there in person to collect her award, finally got hold of the glittering gong and to her it's more like another bundle of joy which she highly attributes to her loyal and loving fans who overwhelmingly voted for her.
"This one is for my fans I love them to death, they have been with me through it all on and off air and as much as it is their award to me, I dedicate the award to them! I don't know where I would be without their never ending support. Ahsanteni sana!" Said an overjoyed Japanni.
