With a deadline to beat, they did not have much time to come up with creative symbols and they had to settle for uncanny symbols, which included; a pack of toothpicks, flash disks, charcoal iron boxes, scissors and even trees!
But did those symbols actually represent their creativity levels or desperation had just kicked in and they could not risk a stab at making it to the political podium?
We reached out to popular Radio Jambo presenters, Mbusii and Lion who commended the independent candidates for their efforts.
"First of all big up the independent candidates as Rastas we commend them for their courage because it opened doors for creativity which they did marvellously. " They said.
But away from the brooms and flash disks, if the two were to vie for elective seats as independent candidates what symbols would the two drive presenters settle for?
"As an independent candidate mine would be simple! I would use the fire symbol because I believe in one thing, as a person you should never ever lack fire within you no matter what you are going through." Revealed Lion.
"I think the aspirants settled for what they love or enjoy doing, the one who used a three legged stool probably he loves chapati as for Lion he chose Fire because he has fire in his soul. As for me I love the weed symbol and that is what I would actually use without hesitating think green. Just imagine what would happen if Lion's symbol met mine.... you would be independent straight to the highest office in the land and the parliament sessions would simply be ital." Said Mbusii.
