City MCA Denies Claims That He Is In Love With Rachael Shebesh

Mark Ndung’u, Jubilee party candidate for Maringo Hamza Ward has denied the allegations that are tainting his name that he is in love with Nairobi Women Representative, Rachael Shebesh.

Ndung’u was reacting to rumours posted in social media that he is in love with Ms Shebesh. The allegations came hot on the heels during the just concluded Jubilee nominations for Maringo Hamza Ward where he trounced his rival Dr Patrick Mwangi, to clinch the ticket.

Mwangi who lost the nominations alleges that he was rigged out in favour of Ndung’u in the highly contested primaries which attracted more than ten candidates.

According to Mwangi, Ndung’u was nominated by Jubilee party in 2013 courtesy of his close friendship with Shebesh with whom they have been spotted together.

In the infamous 2014 clash between Governor Kidero and Shebesh where the governor slapped the women representative outside his office, Ndung’u is seen closely shielding Shebesh in the footage that went viral.

But the MCA has distanced himself from allegations linking him romantically with Shebesh as just mere propaganda.

“I won with 1,611 votes and Dr Mwangi had 1,024 votes. I don’t have anything with Shebesh, and the club which people say Shebesh sponsored me to build is mine”.

Speaking to Narobian, Mwangi further claims that his arrest on May, 17-22 at Buru Buru Police Station for incitement was meant to block and intimidate me from the race .

“As per results declared by the returning officer that day and tallying center and Jubilee headquarters, I was leading with 1,324 votes, followed by Mark Ndung’u with 1,211 and third aspirant had 850 votes.

“When I went to pick the nomination certificate I was told that it had been handed over to Mark and that is how I started to follow up”.
