Raila who was seen at the Hub shopping mall in Karen said he was grateful for the way Kenyans had welcomed the NASA coalition across the country during campaigns.
He said he had spent some time in the CBD with some of his chief campaigners and was happy that August 8 the day most waited for was just around the corner.
“Today woke up feeling so happy. Spent some time with pastors and religious leaders at my home where they prayed for me and my family and later decided to hang out with some of my campaigners in town,” Raila said.
Raila told journalists that he later drove back to his Karen home had some lunch and later decided to stroll with his grand children.
“I am here at the Hub Karen with my grandchildren just chilling and having fun. We are happy for all that has happened and waiting for Kenyans to decide next week,” he said.
Though Raila maintained the government is using state machinery to frustrate and intimidate them, he called on all Kenyans to maintain peace and co-exist as brothers and sisters during the electioneering period.
We have always maintained that we stand for peace and bringing people together. Kenya is bigger than all of us and we shall remain peaceful even after Tuesday, he said.
He said he is ready to concede defeat in case Uhuru garners more votes in a transparent and credible way.
"Mimi kile kime baki ni kupiga kura tu na hio sio kazi ngumu. Kwa bahati mbaya nikishindwa basi asiye kubali kushindwa sio mshindani," he said.
Raila further dismissed claims that there will be violence after the election.
"I want to appeal to all Kenyans to come out in large numbers and vote. As you vote either for me or my brother Uhuru Kenyatta I wish all of you all the best and pray that the election will be free, fair and credible," Raila said.
