Female Soldier Stabs Male Colleague To Death In Kahawa Wendani

Police and military are investigating an incident in which a female soldier has stabbed to death a male soldier in a quarrel in Kahawa Wendani area, Nairobi.

The two are soldiers at the nearby Kahawa Barracks and lived outside the camp. It is suspected the two had been quarreling before a fight ensued. The woman aged 23 stabbed the 28-year-old man in the chest and neck killing him on the spot.

The body was moved to the mortuary as the woman was arrested for grilling and processing. She would be sacked and court-martialed before being handed back to police for charges.

It is not clear what caused the fighting.

Meanwhile, three village elders have been arrested for illegally facilitating the issuance of identification documents to a man in Garissa County.

The three are expected in court this morning to face the charges after they aided an Ethiopian alien in March 2012 to acquire a Kenyan ID.

The elders connived with the aliens to mislead the vetting committee on their citizenship, contrary to their obligation of rightfully informing the vetting committee on the natives of the region. They used a fake name, Mohamed Abdi Aden to acquire an ID for the Ethiopian alien.

Aden was arrested this year on a mission to carry out a terror attack in Nairobi. He was found with bomb making material and other explosives, which would have caused massive damage to the people and property.

When police further investigated Aden and delved deeper into his lifestyle, they established that, he was not a Kenyan, however he had legal Kenyan Document.
