Police Crackdown On Trucks Ferrying Illicit Alcohol Along Malaba-Nakuru Highway

Police have been ordered to crackdown on long distance trucks involved on transporting illicit alcohol from neighboring countries to Eldoret and other parts of Western Kenya.
Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdi Hassan says lorries plying the highway between Malaba border and Nakuru will be inspected by police to find those involved in the illegal activities
The Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) North Rift Manager Barnabas Lihema has also warned of increased sale of poisonous illicit alcohol illegally imported into the country.
