Boy, 9 dead after classmate after horrifying fight in Homabay

A primary school in Suba South, Homa Bay county is in mourning after a class two pupil killed his classmate during playtime.

Collins Onyango, 9, died while undergoing treatment at Seka health center on Monday afternoon.

He died after he was pushed to the classroom wall by a 10 year old pupil.

Onyango is suspected to have sustained head injury after he was pushed on the wall.

The two were playing together at Koga primary school when he was pushed on the wall.

“The older pupil pushed his colleague against the wall,” an eye witness said.

Onyango was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

The directorate of criminal investigations said it will not charge the older pupil.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, the county DCI officer Daniel Wachira said the 10 year old pupil has been allowed to be with his parents.

“The parents to the deceased have been informed that their son died from accident,” Wachira said.

The parents who lost their son said they will not take any action against the minor who committed the offence.

“They agreed not to take any action against the other pupil,” he added.
