Gor Mahia set to receive Sh10M from Kaizer Chiefs for Walusimbi's services

South African top tier side, Kaizer Chiefs on Thursday completed the signing of left-back Godfrey Walusimbi on a 3-year deal from Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

The 29-year-old Ugandan international put pen to paper on a deal which will end on 30 June 2021.

It is believed the Kenyan champions will receive approximately Sh10million in return for the versatile defender.

“I’ve always known that Kaizer Chiefs is a great football club. Chiefs play for honours and that’s a positive mindset that every player dreams of. Just like every footballer‚ I always want to move one step ahead ”. Walusimbi was quoted by after he was unveiled.

Walusimbi ends a five-year tenure with Gor Mahia where he won three league titles and two domestic cups with the Green army.

He joined them in 2013 after ditching Congolese side Don Bosco.
