Three foreign athletes have been arrested in Elgeyo Marakwet with forged documents which they attempted to use to get Kenyan IDs in order to register as voters.
The three including two Rwandese and one from Burundi were arrested along with a Kenyan athlete who was aiding the foreigners to get the IDs at Sinetwo mobile ID registration center.
All the four are being held at the Kaptagat Police Station where they are being interrogated by police. Area Deputy County Commissioner Dhaabu Mwadime has confirmed the arrests and said investigations are going on.
