Ten man Arsenal crashed out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage following another 5-1 thrashing in the hands of Bayern Munich at the Emirates.

Following that fans called for the team to reconsider Wengers future as manager.

The Frenchman has been under attack to go, and now Club chairman Sir Chips Keswick has made a rare comment following speculation about the future of manager Arsene Wenger.

Sir Chips Keswick says:

“We are fully aware of the attention currently focused on the club and understand the debate. We respect that fans are entitled to their different individual opinions but we will always run this great football club with its best long-term interests at heart.

"Arsène has a contract until the end of the season. Any decisions will be made by us mutually and communicated at the right time in the right way.”
