The Ghanaian striker used to drive around in a Rolls-Royce but is now understood to have just £600 in his bank account while being unable to provide for his family.
The former Sunderland striker, who once earned over (Sh29million) £227,000-a-week in the Chinese Super League between 2015 and 2017, is understood to have just (Sh77, 000) £600 in his bank account and is unable to provide for his family.
According to MyNewsGh.com the Ghana captain was asked if he had any other accounts in the countries and responded:
"My front and back, up and down is that money (£600) you see there."
It is claimed the forward hasn't had contact with his wife Gifty or three children since August and is not returning their phone calls.
Gyan and his estranged wife, Gifty, have been involved in a bitter divorce battle and he is seeking a DNA test to determine the paternity of their three children.
His three children are due to travel to Ghana from England for a DNA test. Gyan met Gifty in 2002 and they officially tied the knot in 2013 but has filed for an annulment of the marriage so he can wed his girlfriend Nina Atalah.
The 33-year-old is currently at Turkish club Kayserispor but insists he is not being paid.
