AUDIO: "I am not too old to lead FKF", says Ambrose Rachier

After vetting fellow FKF presidential officials, Nick Mwendwa, Sammy Shollei and Gor Semelango, Gor Mahia and KPL Chairman Ambrose Rachier was next in the hot seat.

Fresh from celebrating his team's achievements at the annual KPL awards gala on Wednesday night, Rachier was ready and raring to go as he took Jambo listeners through his manifesto.

According to Rachier, his main objective is to 'cleanse' an already rotten federation starting from sweeping out corruption and taking care of players, coaches and referees' welfare which he believes is largely ignored.

When asked about the age factor which most of his competitors and stakeholders think will cost him the top seat, Rachier said, "First of all I have said that those are just people's opinions, for instance Former FIFA boss Sepp Blatter is almost 80 so I don't see any problem."

The 66-year-old further added that he is best suited for the job than others since "I have led record league champions Gor Mahia for years, and all has been well. I can rely much on the experience I have gained over the years, I am like fine wine."

Rachier who is also a lawyer, further took shots at fellow contender Nick Mwendwa whose team Kariobangi Sharks has never been promoted to the premier league in his 16-year reign at the helm, adding that although his leadership skills and goals are admirable, Mwendwa needs more time.
