Akizungumza kwa mahojiano na shirika moja la humu nchini, Shollei ambaye kwa wakati mmoja alikuwa naibu mwenyekiti wa Sam Nyamweya kabla ya kuwepo tofauti yao alisema yuko radhi kufanya kazi na kila mtu.
“I have not decided yet but we had a lengthy chat with Musonye on how we can improve football in this country. Others include Andrew Amukowa from Western Kenya, Hussein Mohammed, Twaha Mubarak from Mombasa, Lordvick Aduda – all based on a common goal on how we can bring back the joy of football to the fans in the nation,” alisema Shollei.
Shollei amesema yuko tayari kufanya kazi na Nicholas Musonye hata na viongozi wengine ili kurudisha umaarufu wa soka nchini.
“If Musonye would want us to work together and bring even more people on board then I’m ready to do that as long the agenda is to improve the game and bring back the fans to the stadium.” Amesema Shollei.
Mazungumzo hayo yanajiri saa chache tu baada ya Shollei kuonekana akiwa na uhusiano mwema na Musonye ambapo alisema kuwa mazungumzo yao na Musonye yanagusia tu spoti nchini.
“We need a leader who will listen to every football stakeholder, not someone who will become a dictator and be afraid of taking up new ideas,” amesema Shollei.
Shollei pia ameitaka FKF na KPL kukaa chini ili kutafuta suluhu katika mgogoro wao.
“The federation needs to sit down with KPL and find the best way in which they can run the league instead of always fighting in public, making football look like the game of hooligans, such images scare away potential sponsors,” Shollei amesema.
