Ex Bandari midfielder moves to Finland

Former Bandari FC midfielder Chrispin Odula has joined Finnish second-tier side AC Oulu on a two-year contract.

The experienced player requested to be omitted from Bandari’s 2015 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) season squad and went searching for greener pastures in Europe.

He has been training with AC Oulu and the technical bench was impressed with his quality and handed him a contract on Monday.

“Chris is really versatile and comprehensive player, who can play in midfield background. He has a good understanding of the game, a diverse range of input and is really a strong and muscular athlete. I see in him the leadership and character, he is chatty and very nice man, AC Oulu head coach Rauno Ojanen told the club’s official website.

“He is indeed the nature and type of player that suits our team perfectly. We see in him the potential to do well in the Finnish leagues and even in much larger circles,” AC Oulu manager Timo Kalermo added.

Odula has been capped by the senior National team five times and has also previously played for Coastal Union in Tanzania and former Kenyan league champions Tusker FC.
