Police in Nakuru County have launched a man hunt for a middle aged man who is alleged to have killed his wife on Wednesday morning at Ngorika village.
The man is said to have hit his wife with a jembe on the head, killing her on the spot.
It was not clear what was the reason behind his actions.
According to Kariuki Nyaituga, a neighbor he said that the couple has been quarreling for some time and that they were shocked to find the woman dead in their house.
Nyaituga added that the man only identified as Kamau later escaped the scene moments after killing his wife.
The couple had two children.
