Akothee rose to fame after her massive collaborations with Nigerian heartthrob Flava in Give It To Me and Bongo's finest Diamond Platnumz in their major hit Sweet Love.
The flamboyant singer then shocked everyone when she scooped two coveted African awards, Best Female East Africa Artist at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFFRIMA) and then as Best Female Artiste at the African Entertainment Awards USA.
But away from the stage and music, Akothee is a proud mother of 5 children, three girls, and two boys, from different fathers and she's never been ashamed of being a single mother, in fact, she likes it.
Back in 2016, Akothee revealed that she was pregnant with twins for her Swiss fiancé but sadly, she miscarried after collapsing at a Geneva train station, but that didn't stop her from going on with her music.
Akothee gave birth to her daughters when she was very young after getting married at the age of 14 years, but now they are all grown up and following in the footsteps of their mother, dancing in most of her music videos.
But one of the daughters stands out, the first born who simply goes by the name, Baby Rue and is the hot topic of conversation after joining Instagram. Her famous mum has also been sharing stunning photos of the daughter from a recent photoshoot.
This is the same daughter who was gifted a car on her birthday and recently completed her high school with outstanding results. She seems to be taking after her mother in almost every aspect.
