Two MMU Students In Court For Attempting To Obtain Sh100,000 From Jakoyo Midiwo

Two students from Multimedia University have been charged with attempting to obtain 100,000 shillings from Jakoyo Midiwo by falsely pretending to have been sent by Hon Sabina Chege Women Representative Muranga county.

Derick Kimutai Ngetich and Edwin Ndiritu Warukia pleaded not guilty before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi and released on a Cash bail of 30,000 shillings or a bond of 50,000 shillings with a surety of the same amount.

The prosecution told the court that the two are suspected to be part of a group that loiters around the precincts of parliament extorting money from legislators.
It is alleged  that on 8th March of this year at Golden spot Restaurant within Nairobi County, he jointly with others before not Court, he attempted to obtain one hundred thousand shillings from the former Gem MP pretending to have been sent by Woman representative Chege, a fact he knew to be false.
