Harambee Stars Kicks Off CECAFA Campaign On A High

Harambee Stars kicked off their CECAFA campaign with a two nil win over Rwanda at the newly refurbished Bukhungu Stadium.

Stars were the better side through out the match and their efforts paid off when Masoud Juma scored from the spot in the 24th minute later Duncan Otieno added the second goal to give Stars a two nil lead at the break.

Rwanda were forced to finish the match with ten men after Sotet Kayumba was sent of for a second bookable offence. The win was first for the new head coach Paul Put. Elsewhere at Machakos stadium, Tanzania and Libya settled for a barren draw.
